Restorative and Family Dentistry

Family dentistry is something that Dental Care on Golf Links is passionate about. We strive to treat whole families, from young children to grandparents. How do we treat the whole family? By using a combination of preventive and restorative dentistry. With young children, our goal is to monitor baby teeth, and treat as needed, so your child can develop proper and healthy adult teeth and a pleasing smile. Our aims are preventive with younger patients, for example, regular cleanings and fluoride treatments, if needed, for proper development of adult teeth, sealants for newly erupted adult teeth to prevent cavities. Later in life, we find more treatment to be “restorative” in nature. “Restorative” dentistry is aimed at treating disease processes highlighted in dental problems, and restoring teeth to their original form and function. The extent of treatment needed will vary from one person to the next. Comprehensive dental treatment for one person might mean a simple filling to fix a single cavity. Another person might have many broken, decayed, or missing teeth, and full mouth rehabilitation may be the answer to restoring their smile and ability to chew.
